The Fairlawn and Haseltine Federation

Welcome to The Fairlawn and Haseltine Primary Schools Federation and ETAL Teaching School Alliance.

We never stop looking for opportunities to strengthen our Federation and, in turn, make our individual schools even better.

Within our two schools, we are lucky to have children with cultures from across the world and we feel that sharing in music, sports and traditions celebrates living in modern, multicultural London.

Below you will find information regarding learning opportunities that the children across the two schools have shared.

Fairlawn Forte Junior Choir visited Haseltine as part of the Spring Music Festival in March and took part in a Big Sing event. The choir got to sing their show stopping song Wish to KS2, whilst Haseltine Choir sang for us their Catford Broadway number Janie Mama. Both choirs then joined together to singOne in a Million – the song for National Singing Day. The groups did not have time to practice together beforehand so their performance was very impressive.

Haseltine and Fairlawn compete weekly in a variety of sports throughout the year. After each meeting, one of the competitors creates a match report to be added below.

This weeks match report is produced by Sonny M in 5C class, Fairlawn:

It was our first game of the years 4 & 5 football league and we were playing Haseltine School. Haseltine are our partner school so it’s always more competitive. So the game kicked off, Aiden (5A) scored two goals within the first 7 minutes and Harry (5L) scored just before half time, making it 3-0. After half-time Haseltine scored a late consolation goal and the game ended 3-1. We were happy with our performance! Well done Fairlawn and Haseltine football team.
