Girls Football at Blackheath

We drew one all with All Saints in a friendly (they’ve previously won the whole thing) and then beat Holbeach 5 nil.  Kizzie scored the goal in the first match and then 4 in the second, with Lily scoring the other one. Everybody played well, battled hard, supported each other and have started to play a really good passing game.

Year 5 & 6 Football News

On Monday 23rd September the years 5 & 6 football festival took place at St Dunstans Jubilee Ground. Five schools entered teams on this wet but warm afternoon. All of the games were very competitive and played in a great spirit. There were some fantastic goals scored by all teams along with some great goalkeeping and all round play. The games were played in a great spirit with strong determination showed by all. There was a great atmosphere with all the spectators cheering on their team with words of encouragement. Congratulations to all of the children who represented their schools. All players went home with a certificate, the runners up received medals and the winners took home the trophy.

Sports Hall Athletics October 2019
Years 5/ 6 Boys & Girls

The sports hall athletics festival was hosted by Sydenham secondary school in their amazing sports hall. We welcomed a number of young leaders from Sydenham who assisted in organising the events that included javelin, basketball chest push, speed bounce, long jump and then a host of different running events. The field events were first and it was amazing to watch all of the pupils mixing together and helping each other from the different schools. Next up were the track events and the atmosphere was electric! All schools were really cheering on their team and the noise was so loud. The winners received a gold medal each and a trophy for their school. The runners up were presented with silver medals. Every child went home with a certificate. Well done to all schools who represented themselves extremely well.
